Duties & Responsibilities
3- 4 Years of experience performing data warehouse developer responsibilities and a minimum of two years of experience with AWS Redshift management
Solid fundamentals in AWS Redshift, ideal candidate will be required to have great understanding of AWS Cloud, Cloud Native and Microservices fundamentals. Great understanding of designing Data lake & DWH
Scripting skills include AWS EC2 – Linux and Shell Scripting
Experience with MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and stored procedures.
High proficiency in dimensional modeling techniques and their application
Strong analytical, consultative, and communication skills; as well as the ability to make good judgment and work with both technical and business personnel
Experience with some of the following: PowerBI, Tableau, and other reporting and analytical tools is a plus.
Proficient and hands-on at MYSQL, ORACLE, LINUX (Red hat) OS maintenance/admin and scripting
Hands-On experience on Application server(JBOSS) and webserver(Apache) and AWS-EC2, S3, RDS, Route53, ELB
The candidate will be responsible for analysis, evaluation and development of enterprise long term cloud strategic and operating plans to ensure that the EA objectives are consistent with the enterprise’s long-term business objectives
Responsible for the development of architecture blueprints for related systems.
Work with EDW ETL/BI developers, Business Analysts, and QA team members to understand database requirements, implement solutions, and to provide comprehensive Cloud DBA Services
Design, develop and implement SQL database instances for the development and production environments in AWS
DB usage monitoring
Setup new instances
Monitor Cloud costs
Assists in the optimization of the EDW and Data Mart’s
Perform and assist in the design and extension of data marts, metadata, and data models
Participates as required in the project efforts to develop the next generation EDW and Data Marts
Migrate application date from on-prem databases to Cloud databases
Monitor and maintain database security and database software
Experienced with DMS (Database Migration Services) Tools to migrate data from On-premises to Cloud.
Daily maintenance, monitoring, problem resolution, and internal customer for production and dev support
On-call for production databases
Test, validate, and implement performance and resource optimization improvements in consultation with AWS development Teams
